This will be my 9th year as a Health and Physical Education teacher in Prince William County. I am a Prince William native and graduated from Brentsville District High School in 2006. In 2010 I received a BS in Exercise, Sport, and Health Education from Radford University. I am a HUGE Chicago sports fan: the Chicago Bears, Chicago Blackhawks, and the Chicago White Sox! I am also the head coach for competition cheerleading at Patriot High School. This will be my 8th year coaching. The best part of my job is that I get to teach students and staff how to lead a healthy and active lifestyle!

Welcome to Health and Physical Education!

Hi everyone! I just wanted to say that I hope everyone is doing well during this time. I am here to work with you all and please keep in mind things may change as we work along but we are in it together!

On Thursday we will be going live on Zoom for each grade level.  Mrs. Harris and myself will be in one room and  Garrison, Mr. Grinnell and Mr. Goode  will be in a separate room.  We will be discussing the plan for the remainder of the school year and just checking in to see how everyone is doing and answer any questions you may have.  Each meeting will be 15 minutes long then we will have our virtual office hours afterward.  Here is the schedule for Thursday. Zoom information will be e-mailed to you individually.

Thursday April 16th
8th Grade - 12:00 - 12:15
7th Grade - 12:15 - 12:30
6th Grade - 12:30 - 12:45

I have also included the lay out for what a Virtual Monday in HPE will look like below!

Activity 3: Will vary each week from a dance, to an activity, to a fitness exercise/workout.

Activity 4: Health Writing Assignment – This will vary from a journal activity, to answering questions, to working on an assignment (poster, pamphlet, etc.)

Office Hours: Thursdays from 12:00-1:30pm
If you have any questions I will be available through e-mail during these times.

If you turn in assignments that show you have mastered a standard your grade may be updated to reflect the mastery of the standard.
