In 8th grade Civics and Economics, students will learn how the United States government is organized and how it operates.  They will also learn about basic economic concepts and the role of the government in the economy of the United States.

UPDATE: Starting the week of April 13, there will be a regular schedule for Student Learning Time and teacher Office Hours.  For my Civics class, the schedule will be as follows:

Student Learning Time: Fridays from 10:00 to 11:30
Office Hours: Wednesdays from 12:00 to 1:30
(From 12:00 to 12:30 I will hold a "live" session using Teams or Zoom.  From 
12:30 to 1:30 students can contact me through email.)

Materials needed for Civics:
* 3 ring binder OR 5 subject spiral notebook (this will be your main resource for Civics class and will be used to keep all your class notes)
* Folder in which to keep papers and returned classwork
* Glue sticks 
* Supply of notebook paper
* Pencils, pens, highlighters, magic markers
