Dr. Walts came to Gainesville Middle on April 16th to visit Mrs. Ingram's Journalism class. In tribute to the sinking of the Titanic, Mrs. Ingram had recreated the ship in her classroom and everyone who boarded was given the name of someone who sailed on her. Students were preparing to write their first story describing the disaster. Dr. Walts enjoyed the class immensely as did the teachers and students having him present.

ATHLETIC AND AFTER SCHOOL EVENTS
ATTENDANCE POLICY
Due to a number of issues concerning students being picked up on time after events, and students attending events without appropriate supervision, the following policy will be implemented as of this date,
14 February 2012: Students will be allowed to attend athletic and after school events at Gainesville Middle School only if accompanied by an adult with transportation. Students who come to the school and do not attend the activity will be asked to leave. Thank you to our parents for their support and understanding that we are concerned about the safety of all our students. |
